2018 EVENTS

This page lists the competitions and the events we are participating in this year.

Cardboard Sled Race- February 3:

For the Icebreaker Festival in South Haven, the team will build a sled out of only cardboard and duct tape, and race down a hill!

"End of Build Event"- February 17:

To finish off the 6-week build season, Ramageddon wiil attend an End of Build event at Coloma Middle School. We'll play practice matches against other schools on a full scale field!

Open House- March 1:

A public presentation of the team and their robot held at the high school.

Rotary Presentation- March 13:

The team will present their robot at the Rotary Club in South Haven.

Gull Lake Competition- March 16-17:

During their first competition of the year, Ramageddon travelled to Gull Lake. After some rough technical issues, the team finished the qualifiers placed 23rd and was the first pick for the 6th alliance, where they advanced to the semifinals. The team also won the Entrepreneurship Award, their first award since rookie year!

East Kentwood Competition- March 30-31:

Ramageddon competed at East Kentwood, and finished 21st in qualifications. Alongside their 5th seeded alliance partners, they managed to down the 4th seeded alliance in the playoffs and advance to the semis!

Michigan State Championship- April 11-14:

The team qualified for the state championship for the first time! They competed against 160 of the best robots in Michigan out of 506 teams. In the Dow Division, Ramageddon placed 10th out of 40, and were alliance captains for the first time!

FIRST World Championship- April 25-28

Ramageddon will be travelling to Detroit to compete against over 400 teams worldwide during South Haven's first appearance at the world championship!
